Watchman Nee said of his time when he had TB, one of the the reasons he was in bed was to look up.
Many of us think of looking up as a way to receive help in our time of need. Could that be because we looked up as children to get help from our parents? Could that be because we look up when we fall down? Could it be because we look to the sky when the sun is out to get that warm feeling, even on a cold day?
We instinctively look up for help and comfort in times of need . We can only speculate how that instinct became programed into our being. We all know it is there.
If looking up gives us comfort, why not do that more often, even when there is no need?
There is an exercise you might find enlightening.
1) bow your head and slump your shoulders. Notice how it feels to smile and feel happy with this posture.
2) raise your head and stand or sit up straight. Notice how it feels to smile and feel happy with this posture.
Look up, feel happy and smile. Your life will improve!
